Why did Google Chrome change how to delete browser cache?

In Google Chrome you used to be able to click the Wrench and then click %26quot;Clear Browsing Data%26quot;. Now, with the new release...4.0.249.78, you have to click the Wrench, then Options, then finally %26quot;Clear Browsing Data%26quot;. Has anyone found a shortcut for this in the newest version?

Install the Click%26amp;Clean extension:

clear browsing history with 1-click or when Chrome closes;

remove Flash LSO;

close all tabs/window before clearing (without last active tab);

....works with Chrome on Windows
