Has Google changed the way it searches for exact phrases in quotes?

I was just trying to look up lyrics for a song from the early '80s titled %26quot;Cubic Refugee%26quot; (about a guy who's addicted to his Rubik's Cube), but when I typed the first line of the lyrics in quotes, the search came back with a bunch of sites that had nothing to do with the line in quotes, nor did it indicate that any (or no) search results had come up for that lyric line. Google results used to do that until just very recently, but now it looks like they've really changed things up. Any tips on how to do exact-phrase searches, if Google has changed things?

No results found for %26quot;This is a phrase that probably won't return any exact results from Google Search%26quot;.

Seems to working as normal?

Googling %26quot;Cubic Refugee%26quot; I get a bunch of websites mentioning it, but it doesn't seem to be on any lyric websites. So that's probably why googling lines from the song doesn't turn anything up.

well if you know the artist of the song you could go to

azlyrics.com and search there or pretty much any lyric site.

also, you could try and be more specific when typing into the search enging. for example, instead of putting just %26quot;Cubic Regugee%26quot; or the lyric you could type the lyric then %26quot;-Cubic Refugee%26quot;

just experiment with that if you are interested.
