I use firefox and when i search in the address bar it takes me to bing. How do i change this to google?
Type this in your address bar: about config
Filter for: browser.search.defaultenginename
Modify that and change it to Google.

change your default search engine to google...................
In the search bar on top right, there should be a wee icon next to it. Click on that and a list will appear where you can change the search engine you use.
In your address bar, type in: “about:config”
Inside of the filter search box, type in:
browser.search.defaultenginename
Double click that entry (or right click and choose “Modify”) and then type in the name of the search engine you wish to have as the default search engine. It must be one that you already have installed and also make sure you type in the name correctly.
Now if you type in “Yahoo”, restart Firefox and when your browser comes back up you will see the red Yahoo “Y” and Yahoo as your default search engine.
go to on tool menu and choose add one now u will get a pop up with various tool
here u can search for google tool bar ,
and also able 2 disable bing search tool bar.
Google chrome is a lot faster and better ..i sorry i never used it prior to now
