How to change the default search engine on firefox 3.5 and IE8 to "google.com" instead of "icq.com"?

when i type a word instead of a website address it automatically search that word with icq ,, i want to change that to google search , thats all

For firefox:

type %26quot;about:config%26quot; in the address bar(leave out the quotation marks of course)

scroll down to %26quot;keyword.URL%26quot; , doubleclick and enter in http://www.google.com/ and your done.



for IE:

go to control panel and click internet options.

in the general tab you'll see internet seach options. Click settings, then go to search providers, find google and click on it and click set to default and your good to go.
